Silver Taps on Feb. 1, 2022, in Academic Plaza.

Silver Taps, one of Texas A&Ms’ most sacred and significant traditions, takes place the first Tuesday of each month, September through April, if necessary, following a student’s death. It is one of the final tributes held for any current professional, graduate or undergraduate student who dies during the year.

He was honored along with Chance McKay Gibson, a freshman sport management major from The Woodlands, who died Dec. 18, and Miranda Elizabeth Meckel, a graduate student in the family nurse practitioner program from Caldwell, who died Dec. 13.

Sebastian was born Oct. 19, 1998, in Longview, grew up in Arp, Texas, and graduated from Franklin High School.

He enjoyed catching sunsets at the lake, going to the deer lease, playing baseball, doing anything that helped him stay fit, and building things. He had an infectious smile, a strong handshake, and a great work ethic.
Sebastian worked hard to get his Aggie Ring, and looked forward to graduation, so he could begin his career in construction management.

He is survived by his parents, Donald and Kaci Sebastian, his brother Brett Sebastian, and numerous family and friends.
