Students propose plans for three Texas communities
As the Spring 2020 semester wound down, Texas Target Communities and ENDEAVR students presented urban planning and landscape architecture proposals they created for Nolanville, Columbus, and Willacy County. The proposals, which were created with residents’ input and will help guide the future of these locales, took place in a series of public, online meetings.
ENDEAVR was launched by Wei Li, associate professor of urban planning, in 2018 with a $300,000 grant from the Keck Foundation, which supports projects that promote inventive approaches to instruction. Texas Target Communities is a college initiative that has helped small towns plan their futures for over 25 years.
