Nominations for outstanding college alumni due April 15
Do you know of a former Texas A&M College of Architecture student who is a candidate for the college’s highest honor, the Outstanding Alumni Award? Nominations for the 2021 award are due by April 15.
“This award recognizes the exemplary leadership, relentless pursuit of excellence, exceptional talents and numerous accomplishments of the recipients,” said Jorge Vanegas, dean of the college. “We strongly encourage those who know a former student deserving of this prestigious honor to nominate him or her.”
Anyone may nominate a former student for the award with a form available on the Outstanding Alumni Award website. The 2021 Outstanding Alumni will be honored at a banquet on a date to be determined.
Since its inception in 1997, less than one percent of the college’s former students have received this award.
Completed nomination packages should be emailed by April 15, 2021 to Deanna Cowan, dcowan@arch.tamu.edu. Event organizers request that nomination packets be sent solely by email since many college administrators and staff are working remotely.
Biographies of previous Outstanding Alumni Award recipients can be viewed on the college website.
