College of Architecture and PCI to partner on Oral History Project
Former students of the Texas A&M College of Architecture, and related programs prior to the college’s establishment in 1969, are encouraged to participate in the college’s Oral History Project which will launch in late February 2021.
In the project, a partnership with Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI), we will gather and preserve former students’ stories that highlight some of the people and experiences that shaped their shared connections to this great college and university. Former students will also be asked to briefly verify their contact data with PCI.
More information about the project is on a Frequently Asked Questions page on the college website.
PCI has previously published directories for The Association of Former Students. Working with colleges and other entities to create oral histories was a natural evolution of their previous publications, and we are excited that the College of Architecture is the first college at Texas A&M to participate in PCI’s Oral History Project.
A published collection of stories from our former students will be available from PCI for a fee, but no purchase is necessary to participate in the project. The College of Architecture will not receive funds from the sale of the publication or related merchandise, but will receive copies of all materials collected for the college archive and for possible use in highlighting former student experiences through the college’s various news channels. For more information on the Oral History Project, check our FAQ page.
Please watch your mail and email for details on how you can share your college stories and help us gather memories that can be shared with future Aggies.
