Scholars investigate ship channel-area neighborhood’s hazard exposure

Scholars affiliated with the College of Architecture are working to develop measures to reduce the health consequences of exposure to environmental hazards.  The scholars, who are part of the Texas A&M Superfund Research Center, are working in an area near the Houston Ship Channel.

Research Center-affiliated students from the Department of Landscape Architecture & Urban Planning also developed an award-winning plan to increase “green” space and reduce flooding in a neighborhood that borders the ship channel and two other underserved Houston locations.
