Leading designers on campus, architecture faculty honors, and more
There’s lots of interesting things going on in the Department of Architecture already this fall! Here’s a few items …
Architecture Lecture Series
This fall’s Architecture Lecture Series brings leading designers to campus for five events: Maxi Spina, Sept. 26; Atelier Mey/LU Lab, Oct. 27; Isaac Micha, Oct. 31; Jesus Vasallo, Nov. 7, and *Matias Del Campo, Nov. 14.
All lectures are scheduled at 5:45 p.m. in Geren Auditorium except the Oct. 27 lecture, which is scheduled at 3:45 p.m. at the Texas A&M Hotel & Conference Center.
Architecture + Industry Advisory Council Meeting
The new Architecture + Industry Advisory Council will meet Friday, Nov. 4 at the Design Innovation Center at Lake Walk, 3891 South Traditions Drive in Bryan. The meeting will be preceded by a Thursday evening social at the Stella Hotel.
The council and the Department of Architecture will team up for a tailgate three hours prior to kickoff of the Saturday, Nov. 5 Aggies vs. Florida game.
“We are excited to begin our journey together as we collaboratively shape the future of the Department of Architecture,” said department head Gregory Luhan.
Faculty Accolades
In 2021-22, Department of Architecture faculty members were busy teaching, earning honors, research grants, and more:

• authored 46 peer-reviewed publications
• were part of 23 national and global exhibitions
