Apply early!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline (Round 1) \u2013 February 1, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline (Round 2, subject to availability) \u2013 March 1, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applicant\/Participant Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Have an interest in and a desire to actively participate in ongoing research projects.<\/li>\n<li>Preference is given to students with at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA.<\/li>\n<li>Be a U.S. resident or a permanent resident.<\/li>\n<li>Major in STEM fields (preferred majors include construction science, construction engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, computer science, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Have completed at least freshman year (30 hours) by spring 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Graduate no sooner than December 2025.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptions to the above (excluding graduation requirement and residency requirement) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Packet Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Unofficial Transcript(s)\n<ul>\n<li>Both Texas A&amp;M students and external applicants MUST upload most recent unofficial college transcripts.<\/li>\n<li>Texas A&amp;M applicants should submit the unofficial transcript (PDF version) found on the Howdy portal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Personal Statement (minimum 500 words)\n<ul>\n<li>What do you hope to gain from this experience, and what is\/are your objective(s) in participating in a research program?<\/li>\n<li>What are your career plans after completing your undergraduate degree?<\/li>\n<li>Describe any previous or current research experience.<\/li>\n<li>Describe your research area(s) of interests within your field\/major.<\/li>\n<li>Provide any other relevant information (student organizations, leadership, employment, honors, awards, etc.) that will help the selection committee in their decision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>CV\/Resume<\/li>\n<li>Up to Two (2) Recommendation Letters ( one letter at a minimum)\n<ul>\n<li>Recommendations should be provided by a professor or supervisor under whom you have studied, taught, worked and\/or conducted undergraduate research.
