Biography

Dr. Choudhury received Ph.D. in Architecture (1994) from Texas A&M University, M. Phil (Arch) from University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (1976), and B. Arch from Bangladesh Engineering University (1968). He joined the university in 1994 as Visiting Faculty and hired as a tenure-track faculty in 1997. He also has extensive experience as a consulting architect working on projects funded by the World Bank. His areas of emphasis include housing, alternative technology, international construction management, and construction education. He has made original contributions to the field of construction project management through the use of time-cost relationship model. He has been involved in over $150,000 in funded research and has written three textbooks, three book chapters, and 91 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. Dr. Choudhury is a Fulbright Scholar.
