Charles Lawrence graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s in architecture in 1951. Shortly after, he joined CRS as a designer. Lawrence was the first member to join the firm who had not been a student of Bill Caudill or graduated from Texas A&M University. He became a principal partner of the firm in 1958.
