With an internship, you&#8217;ll gain valuable experience working alongside career professionals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An internship can satisfy the School of Architecture&#8217;s requirement to spend one semester away from College Station. Meet with your academic advisor to see if your internship will fulfill the requirement. The internship program coordinator, department faculty and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/careercenter.tamu.edu\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">career center<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> can provide valuable resources regarding the internship search process, including contacts with specific individuals and organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can also attend departmental and school-wide career fairs to meet and network with potential internship providers. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n\n\n<details class=\"accordion\">\n\t<summary class=\"accordion__summary\">\n\t\t<div class=\"accordion__summary-inner\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"t-heading-6 accordion__heading\">\n\t\t\t\tWhen should I intern?\n\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"fal fa-plus accordion__icon\"><\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/summary>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion__body t-body rte\">\n\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is recommended that students take their internship in the second semester of their junior year. Internships cannot be taken during the semester prior to graduation. Meet with an advisor to discuss the type of internship you should search for. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you have a paid internship, compensation will be handled by the organization you are interning for. All internships are writing-intensive courses.
