{"id":338,"date":"2021-09-20T11:55:12","date_gmt":"2021-09-20T16:55:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arch.tamu.edu.staging2.juiceboxint.com\/?page_id=338"},"modified":"2022-05-04T08:29:51","modified_gmt":"2022-05-04T13:29:51","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.arch.tamu.edu\/impact\/centers-institutes-outreach\/crs-center\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About the CRS Center"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Founded in 1990, the CRS Center for Leadership and Management in the Design and Construction Industry (CRS Center) carries on the traditions of Caudill Rowlett Scott as a locus for education, research and public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CRS Center continues the contributions of CRS through:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Preservation and dissemination of archives<\/li><li>Education on the still relevant and powerful contributions of the firm<\/li><li>Research in their pattern of objective<\/li><li>Rigorous \u201cprobes\u201d of topics in the built environment<\/li><li>Service to the profession of architecture, the industry and society<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-mission\">Our Mission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We seek to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Lead in improving the quality of business practice and management in the planning, design and construction industry<\/li><li>Create useful knowledge in innovation, management and leadership<\/li><li>Transfer this knowledge to people and organizations in order to create positive change in the industry<\/li><li>Integrate this knowledge into the education of the next generation of leaders<\/li><li>Provide programs and resources that contribute to faculty development<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-research\">Our Research<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Continuing involvement with undergraduate and graduate students carries on the legacy of the firm as a place for teaching, learning and mentorship.
