allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The green is back at the Langford Living Wall, as students and landscape architecture faculty <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arch.tamu.edu\/staff\/bruce-dvorak\/\">Bruce Dvorak<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arch.tamu.edu\/staff\/thomas-woodfin\/\">Tom Woodfin<\/a> stocked its modules with native plants during the waning days of the spring 2022 semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The wall is the <a href=\"https:\/\/newsarchive.arch.tamu.edu\/news\/2018\/11\/27\/arch-landscape-arch-profs-design-innovative-green-wall-waste-metal\/\">brainchild<\/a> of Dvorak and architecture prof <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arch.tamu.edu\/staff\/ahmed-k-ali\/\">Ahmed Ali<\/a>, who worked together to imagine and manufacture an innovative type of \u201cgreen\u201d wall made of sheet metal byproducts, with modules individually irrigated by an automatic water-conserving drip system and supported on a steel frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A grant from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arch.tamu.edu\/about\/facilities\/schob-nature-preserve\/\">Schob Nature Preserve,<\/a> a Texas A&amp;M research facility and classroom and a neighborhood park, is providing funding for the planting, \u201cgreen\u201d roof research atop Langford A, and restoration of a Schob rain garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The grant is also funding a revival of native plants at Forster\u2019s Prairie, an area at Schob newly dedicated to former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arch.tamu.edu\/laup\/\">Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning<\/a> head <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arch.tamu.edu\/news\/2022\/03\/07\/ndubisi-remembered-as-leading-landscape-architecture-researcher-educator\/\">Forster Ndubisi<\/a>, who passed away March 4,
