Special exhibition: “10 Years 10 Artists”

On view: January 23, 2024 – March 5, 2024

Over the last decade, more than 100 professional artists and designers have exhibited work at the Wright Gallery. The curatorial committee has facilitated 48 solo, two-person and three-person shows, and group exhibitions and student shows in the gallery. Through bringing high profile artists to campus, the Wright Gallery has made an important contribution to the arts on Texas A&M campus and brought new perspectives and creative expression to the Brazos Valley. Three art exhibitions since 2019 have been recognized as Top Five in Texas by the online art magazine Glasstire.

The Wright Gallery celebrates our ten-year milestone with a special exhibition reflecting the theme of 10. Last spring, a group of 10 faculty serving as curatorial committee members reviewed the past exhibitions and each member recommended an artist to invite to loan work for the art exhibition. A selection of 10 invited artists present work currently on view inside the gallery, with additional artists included in a digital display and catalog of past exhibits.

Selections of Artists:

The Wright Gallery features emerging and established artists, architects, and designers of local, regional, national, and international acclaim. Supported by both the School of Architecture and School of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts, the gallery presents a robust schedule of rotating exhibits with related lectures and special events. The gallery was named to honor donor James Wright, who earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Texas A&M in 1954.

Follow the Wright Gallery on Instagram and Facebook.

See the exhibit on the Texas A&M University Campus in the Langford Architecture Center’s building A on the second floor during business hours Monday-Friday.
