The Texas A&M College of Architecture\u2019s lineup of 50th<\/sup> anniversary festivities includes \u201cCelebration of Learning: Reimagining the Future<\/a>,\u201d a daylong event Friday, Nov. 15, 2019 featuring presentations by beloved current and retired college faculty that cover the past, present and future of the college\u2019s disciplines. The event will also feature a keynote address by university distinguished alumnus Henry Cisneros, who earned a graduate degree at the college in 1968.<\/p>\n The Celebration of Learning follows a Nov. 14 banquet honoring this year\u2019s group of Outstanding Alumni and precedes a Nov. 16 tailgate three hours before the Texas A&M vs. South Carolina game at Kyle Field.<\/p>\n Registration for the Celebration of Learning, available online<\/a> through Nov. 1, includes access to all event presentations and workshops, breakfast, lunch and dinner, all of which will take place at the college\u2019s Langford Architecture Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Nov. 15 Celebration of Learning\u2019s 12:45 p.m. keynote will feature Cisneros, former secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and former mayor of San Antonio.<\/p>\n Cisneros, who earned a Master of Urban Planning<\/a> degree at the college, is the founding chairman of CityView<\/a>, an organization that works to revitalize inner-city neighborhoods in major metropolitan areas, and chairman of American Triple I<\/a>, an infrastructure investment firm.<\/p>\n A past member of the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents and a past president of Univision Communications, Cisneros received the Outstanding Alumnus Award from Texas A&M University\u2019s College of Architecture.
