Students who request to be forced into a course are added to a waiting list to enroll for that course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submitting a force request&nbsp;<strong>does not guarantee enrollment<\/strong>&nbsp;in the course. The best way to potentially enroll in a full course is to monitor the course in HOWDY for any openings as other students drop the course. Registration schedules can be found on the Registrar&#8217;s Website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The School of Architecture only provides force requests for courses in ARCH, ARTS, CARC, COSC, ENDS, LAND, and URPN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"btn-wrapper \">\n\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"btn \" href=\"https:\/\/tamu.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_6A9m3xH0GZ8TMZE\" target=\"\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tForce Request Form\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\n\t<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Request Open Date:<\/strong>&nbsp;March 28th&nbsp;at 8:00 a.m.<br><strong>Request Close Date:<\/strong>&nbsp;April 12th at 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-force-requests-work\">How Force Requests Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-requesting-a-course\">Requesting a Course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Summer\/Fall 2024 force request form opens on March 28th&nbsp;at 8:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students can submit a force request after they have completed their pre-registration.&nbsp;<strong>Force requests received prior to your pre-registration date will not be processed, except for ENDS\/RCH studios.<\/strong>&nbsp;Environmental Design students can submit studio force requests as soon as the form opens. They will be processed in the order they were received after the form closes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-request-evaluations\">Request Evaluations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Force requests will be evaluated after the form closes on April 12th at 5:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requests will be reviewed the first week of open registration and re-visited the week before classes start. Be sure to check your bill and schedule for any changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requests are evaluated based on the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Graduation date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requirement for degree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Timeliness of request<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Force Requests will be denied when:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>you are already enrolled in a different section of the course at a different time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>there is a time conflict between the class you are requesting and another class in your schedule<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following issues are NOT appropriate considerations to be forced into a class:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Section change.<\/strong>&nbsp;If you are enrolled in a section, you are holding a seat that could be available to another student. You must drop your current section if you wish to be considered for another.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Class time change.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Instructor preference.<\/strong>&nbsp;Studio sections cannot be forced over the limit.
